Citizens Advisory Committee
Tuesday, May 22, 2012
Dear Residents,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the Tuesday, April 24th Citizens Advisory Committee/Sounding Board. I value your insight, opinions, and suggestions. All levels of government need to be as open and transparent as possible. The government is here to serve the people’s needs. My hope is that this committee will begin serving as a liaison to our local governing body while providing an opportunity for all residents to express their opinions, ideas and be heard. The first meeting of the Citizens Advisory Committee/Sounding Board was a remarkable success with so many new faces in the crowd and so many great ideas presented!
The next Citizens Advisory Committee/Sounding Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 6:00 PM in the Shelby Township board room. The agenda for the meeting is as follows: Problems + Ideas = Solutions. The main topics of discussion will be the following items: 1) road improvements; 2) foreclosed/abandoned homes; and 3) sidewalks. Please feel free to inform other residents, encourage them to get involved and invite them to attend our next meeting. This meeting will not be televised or recorded.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the next Citizens Advisory Committee/Sounding Board meeting and I hope to visit you in your neighborhood soon.
Sincerely,
Stanley T. Grot, Clerk
