We are honored to invite you to the Shelby Township Veterans Day Ceremony, which will be held at the Shelby Township Veterans Memorial located at 52700 Van Dyke Ave. This meaningful event will take place at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 5 and is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together in recognition of our veterans' service and sacrifice.
Hosted by our dedicated Veterans Events Coordinator and decorated Vietnam War combat veteran, Phil Randazzo, the ceremony promises to be a heartfelt and patriotic occasion. The program will include:
- Patriotic music performed by the Lakeside Assembly of God choir, filling the air with the spirit of unity.
- The Pledge of Allegiance led by our local scouts, symbolizing our commitment to our nation.
- A solemn and reverent 21-gun salute by the Shelby Township Police Department Honor Guard, paying tribute to those who have served.
- A moving performance of "taps" by Tim Waage, a tribute that touches the hearts of all who hear it.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to show our deep appreciation for the brave men and women who have served our country and protected our freedoms. It is a time for our community to come together and honor the sacrifices made by our veterans, who have selflessly dedicated their lives to our nation's defense.
