Shelby Township Clerk Stanley T. Grot is making voting more accessible than ever with drive-thru voter registration, absentee ballot requests and absentee voting 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10 at Shelby Township Hall at 52700 Van Dyke Ave.
Voters can enter the municipal campus near 24 Mile Road and Van Dyke Ave. from 24 Mile Road just east of Van Dyke Ave. or through the campus’s northernmost entrance on Van Dyke Ave. Voters then enter the Township Hall’s circle drive behind the Veterans Memorial where they will be greeted by staff from the Clerk’s Office.
Staff will walk voters through the process of requesting absentee ballots for the Nov. 3 election, how to register to vote and how to submit their ballot to the Clerk's Office after voting.
Voters must have a picture ID to process their requests. After finishing their business, voters will exit the campus through the southernmost Van Dyke drive. For more information, contact the Clerk’s Office at 586-731-5102 or visit www.shelbytwp.org/clerk.
