Shelby Township offices will be closed Nov. 12 in observance of Veterans Day. Emergency personnel will be available. To reach the township for non-emergencies, please call the Shelby Township Police Department at 586-731-2121. For emergencies dial 911. Offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 13.
The Shelby Township Clerk is the official keeper of the township records. The Clerk's Office prepares the Board of Trustees agendas and records the minutes. The Clerk's Office administers all Federal, State and Local elections and keeps all voter registrations.
The office is the liaison for the Historical, Beautification, Sidewalk and Solid Waste and Recycling Committees, the Fire and Police Pension and Retirement Board, and most other committees and commissions as well as the Building Authority.
The Clerk's Office offers notary service and is a passport acceptance agency. Passport applications are accepted Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
