Human Resources Department

The Human Resources (HR) Department is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and administration of the Township's workforce.  Selection of personnel is governed by both the Civil Service Ordinance adopted by Township voters for general service employees and State Act 78 for Police and Fire classifications.   This results in the department working in conjunction with two three-member commissions made up of residents of the Township who assist in the selection process.  Individuals interested in serving on these Commissions should contact the Township Clerk's Office for details on applying for membership. 

The HR Department is also responsible for the negotiation and administration of the Township's seven collective bargaining agreements.  These agreements are the basis for the wages and benefits afforded to the township's various employee groups.

Applications for employment are accepted only during open recruitment periods for individual classifications.  From time to time, applications for part-time and seasonal positions are also posted on this site, with adherence to documentation requested as noted in the job description (High School Diploma, Drivers License, etc.) must accompany the application.
