Students learn how trees make sugar and how people throughout history have harvested it. Then they will sample maple syrup made at the nature center.
Our home school curriculum immerses students in nature while teaching topics in ecology and history. These 90-minute programs occur on select Wednesdays for children ages 4-12. Upon arrival, students split into two age groups, 4-7 and 8-12, so content is compelling, engaging and appropriate. An adult is required to attend and supervise participants. A large portion of every class takes place outdoors, so please dress accordingly.
Pre-registration required. $3 resident, $5 nonresident. #NCHOME.07
