The water main that was damaged near 24 Mile and Schoenherr roads Nov. 16 has been repaired. There is NO boil water advisory. The break impacted a small number of homes and staff from the Shelby Township Department of Public Works contacted all affected properties.
At the 2021 Snack & Shop Shelby Township Vendor Show & Tastefest, the Shelby Township Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department invites local product consultants, artists, crafters, restaurateurs, bakeries, small businesses and service businesses to display and sell products and food samples and share marketing materials with area families. At the Shelby Township Activities Center at 14975 21 Mile Road, there is room for more than 60 tables. For shoppers, entry is $1 per person at the door, and tickets for door prize drawings are $1 each with drawings throughout the event. Shoppers must be present to win door prizes. Tastefest and vendor registration forms are available. Tastefest vendors registration is $30 with a $5 fee if electricity is required. Tastefest vendors receive a 6-foot table with two chairs and keep 100 percent of all sales. Any food prepared on-site requires a permit from the Macomb County Health Department. Vendor show registration is $10 for Shelby Township and Utica residents and $15 for nonresidents. Vendors received a 6-foot table with two chairs, and there is a $5 fee if electricity is required. A donation of $20 or more in merchandise for door prizes is required from each vendor. A limited number of product consultants of each type of business, such as Tupperware, Avon, Color Street, will be accepted.
