The Suburban Libraries mobile app makes it easy to digitally browse member libraries’ collections, get details on items, make a selection, check out or place a hold for later pickup or renew items. You can also check out eBooks with the touch of a button. The app’s location finder lets users find the location and operating hours of the nearest library location. Comprehensive account management is built in too, including the ability to place and renew holds, and view or pay fines and fees. For families, members can link together digital library cards to easily manage multiple accounts.

Beanstack is a fun and personalized way to log children's reading habits. Create an account to participate in the "Mission: Read" challenge, the summer reading program or use the app to log the books you've read. Keep logging your reads, and Beanstack can provide weekly recommendations through the app.
Comics Plus
With Comics Plus®, the Shelby Township Library can offer readers unlimited access to thousands of digital comics, graphic novels, and manga from popular publishers such as Boom Studios!, Dark Horse Comics, Tokyo Pop, and Yen Press. Patrons may read entire series in a day from their tablet, smartphone, or computer! All patrons need is their library card and PIN.

Titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. They have hundreds of thousands of titles to choose from, with more being added daily. Libby by Overdrive
The Shelby Township Library has access to thousands of eBooks and audiobooks through its partnership with Libby by Overdrive. Patrons can borrow them for free using any device after downloading the app in the iTunes app store or through Google Play. It takes just a few taps to find and borrow a book. Libby has a ground-breaking, built-in eBook reader and a beautiful audiobook player. If you prefer, you can send books to your Kindle for reading. To use, open the Libby app, find your local library, and input your library card and PIN. Then you can search, sample, borrow and enjoy.
