Symbolically adopt your favorite animal at the Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center today. While your animal will continue to live with us, your donation will go towards their daily care, toys/enrichment,and any unexpected expenses such as veterinarian bills.

As part of the adoption, you receive a certificate of adoption, a 5x7 photo of your animal and a species information sheet. Please contact the nature center at 586-323-2478 or naturecenter@shelbytwp.org for further details or to sign up for an adoption.

Adopters 13 years and older are welcomed to come in and assist with cleaning, feeding and enriching their adopted ambassador, 24-hour notice is required. This is great experience for anyone interested in a career working with wildlife, such as zookeeper or veterinarian.
