The Beautification Awards nominations for 2024 are closed. 

Committee members will tour nominated gardens July 15-16 to take pictures and judge.  

Judging consists of scores for the front yard, the back (and side yards) and good gardening practices such as neatness, weed-free and healthy plants. In addition, we consider the overall effect, color, creativity and design, plant variety, and sometimes non-plant features such as arbors, pots and ponds. We also value the personal efforts of the residents.

The winners will be honored at a Shelby Township Board Meeting in the fall. Winners will receive a certificate. Hall of Fame and three-time winners will receive a garden stone. In addition, all winners' names will be added to the plaques on display at the township building.
