In continuing the legacy of its founder and namesake Jo Burgess, the Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center provides nature-related experiences and activities to help visitors of all ages develop and rekindle an awareness and appreciation for the natural world around them.

The nature center and the trap/archery range will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving.

MSU Extension Class - Mindfulness for Better Living Workshop: Caring for the Caregiver

Caring for the Caregiver: Approximately 53 million caregivers have provided unpaid care to an adult or child in the last 12 months. [National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP. (2020). Caregiving in the U.S.]. During this workshop we explore the many ways informal caregiving affects a caregivers mental and physical health. Learn the importance of self-care for caregivers. Practice some strategies for self-care and explore resources to learn more about self-care for caregivers.
