In continuing the legacy of its founder and namesake Jo Burgess, the Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center provides nature-related experiences and activities to help visitors of all ages develop and rekindle an awareness and appreciation for the natural world around them.

The nature center and the trap/archery range will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving.

Earth Day Extravaganza

Two times: 11 AM-12:30 PM or 1-2:30 PM

Earth Day is an opportunity to appreciate nature just and learn about our impact on the Earth. Let’s make a positive impact together and learn ways to be more ecofriendly in this family program. This event is free to the public but must register for one of two time slots online. Please bring an old/unwanted T-shirt to participate in a craft. Must comply per COVID-19 guidelines, with social distancing and mask wearing. Let’s celebrate the Earth as it deserves.
